Microneedling

A controlled skin-needling treatment that works with your skin's own repair process.

Microneedling Treatment

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a skin-needling treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create tiny channels in the surface of the skin. These controlled micro-injuries prompt the skin's natural repair response, which supports collagen and elastin production in the weeks following treatment.

Treatment is carried out in a regulated clinical environment. Needle depth and technique are adjusted to your skin and your goals, and a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart is usually recommended rather than a single appointment.

Microneedling can also be combined with PRP, using your own platelet-rich plasma alongside the needling treatment. Suitability for either approach is assessed at consultation.

The Treatment Process

A straightforward, clinical procedure completed in a single appointment.

  • 1
    Consultation

A thorough assessment of your skin, medical history and suitability for treatment. We take time to understand your goals and set realistic expectations.

  • 2
    Preparation

The treatment area is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied, then left to take effect before treatment begins.

  • 3
    Treatment

A sterile needling device is passed over the treatment area in sections, at a depth selected for your skin and the concern being addressed.

  • 4
    Immediately After

A soothing post-treatment product is applied. Some redness and warmth for a short period afterwards is normal and settles on its own.

  • 5
    Aftercare & Follow-up

You will receive clear aftercare guidance and a follow-up plan tailored to your goals. A course of sessions is typically recommended for optimal results.

What Can Microneedling Help With?

Skin Texture & Tone

Microneedling is commonly used to support overall skin quality, including texture, tone and the appearance of enlarged pores. Because it works by encouraging the skin's own repair processes, changes develop gradually over the weeks following a course of treatment.

Scarring & Fine Lines

Microneedling may help improve the appearance of acne scarring and fine lines by supporting collagen production in the treated area. Results vary between individuals, and suitability is assessed at consultation before any treatment is agreed.
